Beauty Perches: Rimmel and RealTechniques

Whenever I find myself at any make up counter it usually happens that something will find its way into my shopping basket, whether I need it or not... and this time was no different.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick

The first thing that sneaked its way in, was a sale item. The Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in the shade Piccadilly Pink. I am absolutely obsessed with this color and the staying power is amazing.

Rimmel Salon Pro By Kate Nail Polish

Pink being one of my favourite colors, I could not resist picking up a Rimmel Salon Pro By Kate Nail Polish in the shade New Romantic. It is a lovely nude pink with a slight bit of shimmer, but not enough that anyone would notice. This nail polish forms part of the 10 shades chosen by Kate Moss and claims to have all the benefits of a professional salon manicure lasting for up to 10 days. After using it for the last month I would have to say that it definitely does live up to it's claim.

RealTechniques Expert Face Brush

This is probably the most exiting purchase of the day...
I have been admiring the RealTechniques brushes for quite sometime now and was even considering purchasing them online. However, when I found out they were available at Foschini, I knew I had to get my hands on at least one.

The range was designed by Sam and Nick Chapmin who I first saw on their YouTube channel Pixiwoo. Their videos are amazing and I would recommend any beauty lover to give it a watch.

I picked up the Expert Face Brush, which is described as an ultra firm and broad brush for application and blending of cream or liquid foundation. It's extremely dense and soft, resulting in a smooth flawless finish and after a month of use it has yet to shed a single hair. Like the rest of the beauty community, I am absolutely in love!

Let me know which RealTechniques brushes you think I should get next.

Lots of Love

  1. I've always wanted to try the Real Techniques brushes. I'm currently using a $5 set from F21, and they're starting to give!
