The Little Things In Life

We all have those days where it feels like things are just not quite right. Which results in us indulging in a bit of self loathing and moping about (most of the time in our Pj's and no make up) with everyone wondering who just died...

On days like theses there are a few things that will undoubtedly lift my mood.

1. Old Disney Films

I don't think there will ever come a time where I am too old for Disney films... or Disney anything for that matter. My go to films typically being  Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty and Rapunzel.

2.  Turn Up The Tunes

One of the best things for me to do when I'm feeling down is to listen to my favorite songs/albums. At the moment I have been loving Taylor Swift - 1989, the Pitch Perfect - 1 and 2 - soundtrack and of course my favourite band ever The Script.

That moment where you hear the first note of your favorite song and you get that instant jolt that makes you break out those embarrassing dance moves around the house... you know what I'm talking about.
It is amazing what those few minutes can do to improve my mood.


I have loved the show FRIENDS for as long as I can remember. It's so funny and light heated that I can't help but laugh out loud.

4. Random Chats

I can't isolate myself for too long, otherwise I will just fall even further into a slump, so I find after I have had time to myself it's always good for me to call someone, usually my best friends or my mom, and just have a good chat.

5. Positivity

A positive word can always change a situation instantly. Sometimes just going on my Instagram, Twitter or Pinterest feeds and seeing some positive quotes will lift my mood a lot.
