Current Drugstore Favorites

Today I thought I would gather some of my current favourite drugstore products, these have defiantly become my everyday go-to products.

As a teen the Yardely Pressed Powders were always my go-to "cover up" as we weren't allowed to wear make-up at school and it looks very natural, but after leaving school almost a year and a half ago (I can't believe it) I kind of forgot about it internally, till I found myself perusing the makeup section in Clicks.  I had been looking for something to apply during the day when I get that annoying shiny T-zone. I cant remember what shade I used when I was in school, but I'm currently using the shade Translucent 00, it works best for getting rid of shiny areas and some days I find it works well as a setting powder.

As I suffer from relatively dry skin in winter I need something that will hydrate my skin but, not leave it feeling greasy. I usually apply it before my make up in the mornings or even when I'm just having a make up free day at home. I love the fact that it leaves my skin feeling smooth and hydrated.

Now this product has been a massive game changer for me. I have always been absolutely useless at creating any sort of eye liner look, weather it a cat eye or just a normal line above my lashes. I have just never been able to get it right, until this little gem. It's a jumbo felt tip liner, which makes it really easy to create a dramatic eye. This product has made life so much easier for me, no more sitting in front of the mirror for ages trying to get it perfect and then... just giving up and washing my failed attempt off. I picked up the shade 001 - Ultra Black. Thank you Essence! (Haha)

I was very happy to came across this little eye shadow while I was rummaging through my make up draw a few weeks ago. I must have bought it, ooh, more that two yeas ago, and yes I know you not supposed to keep make up for that long, but I confess I am a hoarder. I love using a dark brown, chocolaty shadow in the crease and outer corner of my eyes just to add some dimension. This shadow is long lasting and quite pigmented, so use a light hand when applying. I haven't been able to find this specific version in the shops, but they are still available on amazon and Rimmel has a new range - Glam'Eyes Mono Eye Shadow in the shade 030 Smokey Quartz -  that is pretty much the same.

I tend not to be very adventurous when it comes to foundations and stick to the same one for a very long time, but recently I decided to try the  L'oreal True Match Foundation. I must say I have been quite impressed with it. It has a creamy liquid texture and is light to medium coverage which I like for everyday. There is just one thing that bothers me about it... now that we coming in to the colder months I find it leaves my skin slightly dry - now that's probably just my skin - so I'll be looking for a winter foundation, but overall I'm very happy.

So that's my current drugstore favorites. Definitely leave me a comment with your current favorites and if you have any suggestions for a new winter foundation.

Lots of Love
